Electrician Public Lighting- You make sure Limburg stays lit!
Are you a true professional who enjoys working outdoors on challenging electrical installations? For a client in Sittard, we are looking for a Public Lighting Electrician who enjoys variety, freedom and responsibility. You will ensure that tunnels, traffic lights and lampposts continue to operate safely and trouble-free, and that thousands of people can drive safely every day.
Function
No two days are the same! As a Public Lighting Electrician, you will work on maintaining, inspecting and trouble-shooting installations in public spaces. This includes public lighting, traffic control installations and tunnel technology.
As a Public Lighting Electrician, your duties consist of:
- Solving electrical faults on light poles, traffic lights and tunnel systems;
- Perform preventive maintenance and inspections;
- Working on control cabinets, cabling, sensors and fixtures;
- Record work and ensure safety;
- Collaborate with colleagues, control rooms and implementers in case of breakdowns or emergencies.
In short: you make sure the outdoor space continues to function - safely, efficiently and reliably.
Job requirements
What do you bring as a Public Lighting Electrician?
- An MBO diploma in electrical engineering (at least level 2) or one of the equivalent diplomas listed below that can grant access to the BEI VP LS Networks course:
- Low-voltage distribution engineer (CREBO 25273 or 25765);
- Data/electricity mechanic - electricity exit direction (CREBO 92111/92112);
- Low-voltage network mechanic (CREBO 10263) or Electricity network mechanic (VEV);
- Strong current installations mechanic (CREBO 10261);
- Electrical installation technician (CREBO 94271);
- Mechanic of electrical industrial products and systems (CREBO 92390) or MTS Electrical Engineering;
- 1st mechanic low-voltage distribution (CREBO 25769);
- Knowledge of NEN 3140 and experience with low-voltage installations;
- Independent, solution-oriented and willing to work outdoors;
- Driving licence B (BE is a plus);
- Willingness to work breakdown shifts periodically (once every two months).
Offer

- A gross monthly salary between €3,600 and €4,500 on a full-time basis and depending on knowledge and experience;
