We have a vacancy for you as a Commercial Vehicle Mechanic in Huissen. Introduction

We are looking for a motivated truck mechanic who wants to work on heavy equipment in a well-equipped workshop, with room for personal growth and job satisfaction.

Function
As a commercial vehicle mechanic, you will work on the maintenance, repair and inspection of our fleet of trucks, trailers and cranes. You will work on mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems on a daily basis. No two days are the same: one day you will replace a brake system, the next you will solve a malfunction in the electronics or prepare a vehicle for its MOT.
You will work in a small team of eight colleagues, with an informal working atmosphere and short lines of communication. Working hours are shifts from 08:00 to 17:00 and 13:00 to ready. (this in consultation).
Duties and responsibilities:
- Performing maintenance checks and technical inspections;
- Diagnose and fix malfunctions;
- Repairs to trucks, trailers and (truck-mounted) cranes;
- Preparing vehicles for MOT;
- Maintaining maintenance reports and administrative processing;
- Working with colleagues and contributing to a safe and tidy workplace.
Job requirements
We are looking for a motivated mechanic with technical insight and a passion for the job. You do not have to be able to do everything already - motivation and eagerness to learn are at least as important.
What we ask:
- Education in (commercial) automotive engineering, mechanical engineering or similar, or relevant work experience;
- Technical knowledge of trucks, trailers and/or hydraulic systems is a plus;
- In possession of a driving licence B; driving licence CE is a plus (or willing to obtain one);
- Interested in obtaining an MOT inspector's paper (we support this);
- Be able to work independently, responsibly and accurately;
- Willingness to learn new things and contribute to a small, close-knit team;
- Also welcome: apprentice mechanics or mechanics with less experience who want to develop within the profession.
