We have a vacancy for you as a Workshop Mechanic in Echt.

Introduction

Our client is a specialised family business in internal transport equipment and cleaning machines including forklifts, warehouse trucks and aerial work platforms. The workshop is the heart of the technical service and maintenance services. To strengthen the team, we are looking for a skilled Workshop Mechanic who enjoys tinkering, has technical insight and, together with colleagues, is responsible for the maintenance and repair of various machines.

Function

As a Workshop Mechanic, you will work in the in-house workshop on a variety of internal transport equipment and cleaning machines. You will be hands-on in mechanical, electrical and hydraulic work. Your duties include:

Maintain, repair and inspect forklifts, pallet trucks, sweeping and scrubbing machines and aerial work platforms according to guidelines and specifications;
Detect and analyse faults, and resolve them independently;
Perform overhaul and repair work so that machines are ready for sale or rental;
Installing and adapting machines to customer or production requirements;
Contribute to a neat, safe and orderly workplace environment.

Job requirements

We are looking for a candidate who:

Has technical understanding and experience or affinity with mechanical and electrical systems;
Experience in maintenance and repair of engines, drives and internal transport equipment (forklifts is a plus);
Can read technical drawings or willing to learn to do so;
Works independently and solution-oriented;
Have a proactive work attitude and enjoy working together.
