If you can read basic electrical schematics, enjoy hands-on problem-solving and are ready to travel internationally, this could be your next career move!<\/p><\/div>\n\r\n<!--more-->\r\n\r\n<h4 class=\"cx_h4 cx2_function\">Function<\/h4>\n<div class=\"cx2_function\"><p>As a Field Service Engineer, you will combine practical technical work, fault-finding and direct customer contact.&nbsp;International travel is an essential part of this position. You will primarily travel to customer sites across Europe, with occasional trips to the United States and Australia.&nbsp;The travel schedule is expected to involve approximately 50&ndash;60% of your working time. Assignments may require you to stay away from home, but consecutive trips away are generally limited to around two to two and a half weeks.<\/p> <p>Your responsibilities will include:<\/p> <ul> <li>Installing, commissioning and testing industrial machinery and production systems at customer sites;<\/li> <li>Troubleshooting technical faults involving electrical systems, PLC-controlled machinery and automation;<\/li> <li>Reading and interpreting basic electrical schematics to identify components, connections and potential faults;<\/li> <li>Working with PLC-controlled systems without necessarily programming PLCs yourself;<\/li> <li>Carrying out service, maintenance and repair activities to ensure reliable machine performance;<\/li> <li>Supporting customers on-site and remotely, explaining technical issues and helping them find solutions;<\/li> <li>Collaborating with customers and international colleagues to complete service activities effectively;<\/li> <li>Reporting technical findings, service activities and any follow-up actions required.<\/li> <\/ul><\/div>\n\r\n<h4 class=\"cx_h4 cx2_requirements\">Job requirements<\/h4>\n<div class=\"cx2_requirements\"><p>To be successful in this role, you should have a solid technical foundation and experience in an industrial environment.&nbsp;Essential requirements:<\/p> <ul> <li>A bachelor&#8217;s degree in Mechatronics or Electrical Engineering;<\/li> <li>Experience working with PLC-controlled systems;<\/li> <li>The ability to read and understand basic electrical schematics;<\/li> <li>Experience in an industrial environment involving machinery or automated production processes;<\/li> <li>A practical and analytical approach to troubleshooting technical problems;<\/li> <li>Good communication skills and a customer-oriented mindset;<\/li> <li>A good command of English;<\/li> <li>Willingness to travel internationally for approximately 50&ndash;60% of your working time.<\/li> <\/ul> <p>Experience that would be particularly relevant:<\/p> <p>Candidates with experience in packaging lines, food processing equipment or other industrial production lines are especially interesting.
